The unwatched nap

A cat picks the sunny spot precisely because nobody is taking notes there. We built this site on the same instinct: you should be able to wander the shelf, read about spinetoram at two in the morning, and leave — without acquiring a file.

There are no accounts here, no sign-up forms, no pop-up asking for your email before you may read about flea drops. What follows is the complete inventory of what this site knows, which is not much.

What the sunny spot can see

Plain, aggregated page counts — which guides get read, which boxes get looked at — so we know what to write next. Numbers, never names.

What it never sees

• Your name, address, or anything typed at a checkout — checkout lives on Amazon, under Amazon's own privacy policy
• Payment details, in any form, ever
• A profile of you assembled for sale to anyone
• Which cat is scratching — though we sympathize

The one honest cookie note

This site works without asking you to accept anything. If a future feature ever needs more than that, this page will say so before it happens, in words this size.

If you write to us

A letter to [email protected] stays in the inbox for as long as the conversation lives, then goes the way of all warm afternoons. We don't add correspondents to lists.
